Tamara Jacobi, writer, Middlebury College graduate, CEO and manager of the Tailwind Jungle Lodge on the Mexican Pacific, will discuss her new book, Wildpreneurs, a practical guide for free-spirits who are turning their passion into business. Special guests to be announced. The evening may include an interactive video presentation. This unique business adventure story, Jacobi's personal story, will empower and inspire many Vermonters.
Jacobi was born in Newport, Vermont, raised on Lake Memphremagog in Quebec and now splits her time between the Tailwind Jungle Lodge, San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico, Ridgway, Colorado, Lake George and Lake Memphremagog. While at Middlebury College, she attended a class called “Entrepreneurship 101” where she wrote the business plan for the Tailwind Jungle Lodge.
Her new book, Wildpreneurs, illuminates how surf guides, ski builders, yoga and wellness instructors, environmental activists, nature lovers, food trucks, podcasters, artisans, and other creatives achieve an adventurous lifestyle and financial viability. Readers will access a practical blueprint for starting and managing an unconventional business, receive the support needed to stay on track with what can be a difficult path filled with unexpected challenges, gain insights into the world of wildpreneurship, and discover an opportunity to move beyond fear, come alive, and tune into inspiration while also making a living.
