Doug Wilhelm, acclaimed young adult author and Vermonter, will read from and discuss his new book, Street of Storytellers. In this multicultural thriller, a teenager who's passionate about rock and reggae music angrily blames his parents' divorce on his dad's obsession with finishing a book about a lost ancient civilization in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier. Luke is drawn into this strange and intriguing country, where a violent new extremism is on the rise.
Wilhelm, author of The Revealers and editor of the forthcoming China In Another Time by Claire Malcolm Lintilhac, has been a freelance writer, editor, and teacher of English in Kathmandu, Nepal, worked as a journalist for The Boston Globe and once wrote the words for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream containers, a job that involved getting paid to eat ice cream.
