Chris Hadsel | Suspended Worlds

Chris Hadsel will present her beautiful new book, Suspended Worlds: Historic Theater Scenery in Northern New England at a special "curtain talk" during intermission of The MET's Otello, being broadcast LIVE in HD on the THT big screen; that program begins at 1 p.m. Hadsel's book Suspended Worlds, is a beautifully designed and sumtuously illustrated book about historic theater curtains in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. Suspended Worlds will be for sale at the theater.

Christine Hadsel was the first Executive Director of the Vermont Museum & Gallery Alliance. In 1998, she began work on the painted theater curtain project. The collection of Vermont curtains has been given the status of “National Treasure” by the National Trust for Historic Treasure and the work to conserve them on-site has received national and international recognition.

Please visit the Town Hall Theater website or box office for tickets to view the opera. There will also be a free pre-show talk by David Clark at 12:15 downstairs in the Byers studio. Refreshments will be provided, courtesy of The Opera Company of Middlebury.
