The Unclear Pool of Remember is the first book of poetry by the Vermont poet, Roma Mortensen. The poems explore memories of growing up and growing old on a Vermont farm. The poems primarily take the form of short vignettes about Roma as a child growing up on the old farm, and as an adult dealing with the death of her father and later her mother. In addition to the poems, the work includes scattered excerpts from Roma's childhood diary and the diary of her mother, a letter from her husband asking her hand in marriage, and quotes from her mother, Christina, expressing her Christian faith.
About the Author
